A life devoted to understanding what it means to be human

“I met Amela in one of the most difficult and challenging times of my life.

Her deep presence and gentleness was palpable from the first moment of our encounter, and at that time was almost life saving for me.

Her professionalism and the deep, loving connectedness towards me supported my healing and enabled me to take the necessary steps that had seemed to be impossible before .

My life has changed radically. I am more than grateful for her support.“

“The next step is rarely the dramatic leap we imagine. It is usually small, near, and already subtly calling us — and our work is to become steady enough to hear the direction life is already turning us toward.”

My work is rooted in a lifelong exploration of healing, relationship, and human transformation.

I was born in the former Yugoslavia and arrived in Denmark as a young war refugee in 1992. The experience of losing a homeland, rebuilding a life in a new country, and witnessing both individual and collective suffering became a profound doorway into understanding trauma, resilience, belonging, and the human capacity for renewal.

For more than two decades, I have accompanied individuals and groups through profound processes of change. My work weaves together trauma integration, relational intelligence, meditation, and an awareness of the collective dimensions of our human experience.

Today, I work internationally with leaders, practitioners, and individuals who are navigating transitions, exploring deeper alignment, and cultivating their capacity to meet themselves, others, and the complexity of our time with greater presence.

My approach

I am a certified Integral Psychotherapist and Trauma Therapist with extensive training in contemporary trauma approaches, interpersonal neurobiology, attachment, nervous system regulation, and contemplative practices.

My approach has been shaped through years of meditation, ongoing professional development, and deep immersion in the work of Thomas Hübl. His teachings on collective trauma, relational responsibility, and the evolution of consciousness continue to influence my path.

I meet each person and group with curiosity, precision, warmth, and a capacity to stay present with complexity.

Transformation unfolds through the quality of our relationship with ourselves, each other, and the larger systems we belong to.

The collective dimension

Since 2015, I have been part of the international field around Thomas Hübl and the Pocket Project. Through this work, I have served as an assistant, mentor, and facilitator in international trainings and spaces dedicated to collective trauma healing and human development.

These experiences have deepened my understanding of how our personal stories are woven into larger histories, cultures, systems, and collective memories.

Beyond my professional identity

I am also a wife, mother, grandmother, and artist.

Some of the deepest teachings in my life have emerged through love, migration, relationships, creativity, loss, and the continuous invitation to meet life with openness and presence.

I continue to practice, study, meditate, create, and listen. The journey of becoming more fully human continues to unfold.

“When we stand at a threshold and ask what comes next, the answer seldom arrives as certainty. It arrives as a felt sense, a subtle yes in the body, made trustworthy precisely because it asks us to move before we can see the whole path.”
